is a gorgeous 3 year old brown brindle Labrador Retreiver and Dutch
Shepherd male. He’s 50 pounds and has been at Harbor since August 18,
2010….Volunteer Comments:”Harley is a 3 yo Lab/Dutch Shepherd mix who looks like a dog in a TIGER SUIT!!! He arrived at Harbor Shelter as a stray on August 18. He was so filthy and full of flea dirt that when I bathed him the soap suds were red!! This guy is so handsome and really unusual looking. He is just gorgeous! And, he has the sweetest disposition..really loving and gentle. Harley is very submissive and a bit timid but quickly comes around. He is so happy for any love and attention… I don’t think he’s had much in his short life as he was terrified of the toys and afraid of the camera, too. Harley has not yet been tested w/ other dogs but he completely ignored the dogs as we walked by the kennels at the shelter. I saw this top little girl get surrendered today at Downey. Her uncaring
owner first claimed she found her, then admitted to the staff it was
hers. She refused to drive to a low kill shelter I refered her to. This
little girl is only about 4 pounds. She was crawling with fleas and
clearly was a backyard dog, though she looked healthy otherwise. She was
sweet and gentle. I briefly looked at her teeth on one side, and they
looked okay.
After being put in a cage, she was shaking and looked lost. I put a CTA
on her and paid for her and Im supposed to pick her up tomorrow after
her spay. I’m kind of hoping that someone else might want her and might
want to go pick her up at Downey tomorrow. I just have a lot on my plate
right now. (I did confirm with Melissa that someone else could pick her
up if I just call first, and speak to Melissa)
Is anyone interested in taking her in? I would give up my CTA to another rescue interested in her. Alternatively, I would be seeking a foster for her. She was so SWEET and so SMALL - she is so SPECIAL. Its a bad pic- she is super cute, and Im fairly certain her canine tooth doesnt usually stick out like in the pic.

LOS ANGELES - Poor sweet boy!!! Needs an owner who won’t dump him at the shelter :(This guy was brought in as a possible owner, who never came for him.
Only 2 years old, he had a serious case of conjunctivitis, which is now
under control. Already neutered, and combo tested negative, very sweet,
friendly kitty! The vet at the shelter likes him so much, she asked me

LOS ANGELES EXTREMELY URGENT MEDICAL!!! Mr.
Foxy (A1144602, 3 years old and just a teensy 10 pounds) is beloved by
the staff who see him every day back in their treatment room. And they
see a lot of dogs!!! He’s a shy, sweet little guy who was probably hit
by a car and has a fractured right tibia. Please consider rescuing
this innocent creature, sadly su…ffering
from the neglect of an owner who let him outside. If you would like to
